In The Works: Stratford Hall
The linking of the IB programs will bridge the school community and offer a new whole-school gathering space.
Working with an independent International Baccalaureate school has been more than providing new spaces for learning but also working to create a new heart for the campus. Stratford Hall currently exists as three independent buildings occupying a city block in Vancouver.

The campus expansion will physically and metaphorically unite the Diploma Program and Middle Years Program buildings. The linking of the International Baccalaureate curricula will bridge the school community and offer a new whole-school gathering space.
In the new heart of campus, a sweeping staircase will usher students through a skylit atrium that connects new classrooms, a student learning commons, and casual breakout spaces.
‘Heart’ of the campus located in the new extension, featuring a dining hall, classrooms, student commons, and a breakout study room.
Additionally, a new main entrance will be located at the centre of the united educational facilities and mark the new heart of campus. Sweeping timber members at the new entrance meld into the timber structure of the expansion, ensuring that a connection to nature is maintained from first glance to the centre of the school.
