JBD Book Review: Constructing Health

“If you could hold architecture in your hands, this book would be it.”

Constructing Health book review in the Journal of Biophilic Design, issue 17

The Journal of Biophilic Design has published a book review for Constructing Health by Tye Farrow in their 17th issue. The review highlights Chapter 6: The Study of Environmental Enrichment, calling it a “vital reading for anyone involved in Biophilic Design.”

Constructing Health aims to highlight key concepts that ground salutogenic design and provide the framework to cause health through the careful design of the built environment. Farrow Partners projects act as case studies that provide a comprehensive representation of the key concepts.

“Holding the book (even electronically!) feels like you are holding melodies in your hands. Each building is like a song, each arch a phrase in a symphony. You can see why and how these buildings and the concepts behind them aim to literally create health, on many levels.”
