Now Open: RSGC Student Commons & Arts Centre

The new student commons and arts center at Royal St. George’s College is officially open!

The all-boys independent school in Toronto, Canada has recently opened its new centre for the arts and student commons space as part of its ongoing master plan renovation project.

The construction of the new arts and music center located inside the historic St. Albans Chapel has been completed. The timber materiality of the space brings warmth and tactility to the lower level of the 130-year-old cathedral. The facility features new music classrooms, an arts studio, and a student lounge.

South-west of St. Albans and the new centre for the arts, is the school’s new student commons. The addition to the existing senior school is located in a previously unused veranda space. The addition makes use of the southern exposure to offer students a light-filled learning environment year-round.
