Sheba Negev Hospital Master Plan wins International Academy Award

Celebrating design that demonstrates a salutogenic vision for healthy environments

The Sheba Negev Hospital Master Plan by Farrow Partners and Rubinstein Ofer have been awarded an International Academy Award for Future Healthy Built Environment Project at the Design and Health World Congress 2025.

This year’s congress was held in Singapore, hosted by the International Academy for Design and Health. The academy is the leading advocate programme in recognising professional excellence in the research and practice of designing healthy built environments. Recipients of the International Academy Awards will be examples of unique and outstanding efforts towards leadership and initiative from around the world.

The award category celebrates the design of a future project that demonstrates a salutogenic vision for healthy environments and addresses anticipated socioeconomic challenges. The Sheba Negev Hospital Master Plan will service the biotech and residential sector of Be’er Sheva, Israel, by providing 300,000 sqm of healthcare facilities and 600 patient beds. The project aims to harvest select portions of the hospital’s wastewater to treat and recycle for horticultural use in the country with a specific focus on semi-desert flora.
