Tye Farrow is Keynote Speaker and Lecturer in Halifax

Exploring person to place relationships, environmental enrichment, and creating conditions required for the human body and mind to flourish.

On May 29, the Halifax Environment Design Research Association is hosting its annual conference. The EDRA works to advance and disseminate research, teaching, and practice towards improving the understanding of relationships between people, the built environment, and natural eco-systems.

Tye Farrow will deliver a talk at the conference at 8am alongside Nooshin Esmaeili and Jenna Mikus, discussing how the built environment can enhance one’s mind health and explore how person to place relationships are formed and fed through salutogenic design.

In the afternoon, Tye will deliver the keynote lecture at the Maritime Lumber Bureau’s annual conference. The talk will take place at 12:30 and will focus on the discussion of timber as a building material, environmental enrichment, and creating the conditions required in order for the human body and mind to flourish.
