Tye Farrow to Deliver Keynote Lecture at the Mass Timber Group Summit
“Tye Farrow dives deeper into how biophilic, wood-rich architecture can tip the scales toward health..”
Architects, engineers, and manufacturers working to mold the built environment will join at the Mass Timber Group Summit to discuss design, innovation, and sustainability through mass timber construction. The Summit takes place at the Denver Art Museum in Colorado from August 20-22.
This marks the second year the Tye Farrow is delivering the keynote lecture for the summit. This year’s talk will highlight how biophilic architecture that prioritizes natural materials, such as timber, can reduce stress and improve focus and cognitive function.

According to the Attention Restoration Theory developed by American environmental psychologists Rachel and Steven Kaplan, access to nature has the ability to increase concentration both voluntarily and involuntarily. This has effectively been employed in Farrow Partners’ educational projects such as the Lauremont Bayview and Elgin Mills campuses, to inspire a sense of enlightenment and awe in students and generate an enriching learning environment.
Join Tye Farrow on day two of the Mass Timber Group Summit at 10:15am to learn more about how mass timber contributes to the design of enriching environments, informed by neuroscience to cause health through architecture.
